We rushed immediately to submit it to a test.

This Western Timothy Hay with chamomile, lemon verbena, hibiscus, lavender, rose hips, comfrey, borage or red clover blossoms is really delicious

Last month I was asked to pose for a book. The author wanted a picture of an adorable bunny(me of course) eating some hay to show how much hay is important for rabbit health. The hard part was to eat some hay and look adorable at the same time because I eat so nervously that I really look like a little monster sometimes!!
At first I tried just to pose, hoping it would be enough :

Malou was operated last week .

The vet works in Paris, that's to say 400 km from us, so we were worrying about the evolution of the surgery; He gave us the name of a good vet we could had relied on him in case something went wrong but it was fortunately not the case !
So everything is fine and even if the surgery has not succeded, Malou is all right and safe.

Big news today !

Our Best friends, Selune and Torino, are going to be on TV in October and the television team is going to their house on Monday afternoon.

This will be a great day !
Malou's vet will be running a monthly tv show about little animals like bunnies, rats, hamsters etc....,
He wants to show how you can lay out your flat or house so to make a comfortable home for your bunnies.
They're going to talk about bunnies in general too : how to feed them, how to take care of them, how to heal them.Our bunnysitter will be interviewed !!!
It'll take a total of three hours of preparation and camera shooting for an total 2mn of broadcasting !
Hope this tv show will help bunnies!

A new shelter [Malou]

Look at what we've got....a new shelter !

The two feet has bought it to replace the carboard boxes they used to bring from the supermarket and that tended to get wet and finally fell apart badly on the terrace.
We received it last week and it took some days and a few carrots to have us inside.
At first the two-feet were a bit worried about the fact we didn't seem to be interested at all by their new purchase !
It's made out of wood and has quite a good look and, though it's not real big inside it's enough for both of us.

It's finally quite nice because it really looks like a burrow and feels like it when you're inside.

As you can all see, life is getting quite hard those days as It's really demanding to find a proper and definitive position to sleep.
As simple as it may seem, sleeping is an art not everybody can master perfectly, nor it is something to be taken for granted.
A lot of hard work, deep thinking and endless hours of sleep were required to achieve this high level of sleeping excellence !
One has to dedicate his life to some noble cause.....I think I've found mine and will let you know on every new discovery on the subject.

Some news[Talisman]

Malou is getting and feeling much better now even if the surgery has not completly succeeded.

There remains minor technical problems but the most important part is that he does not get infected anymore if the two-feet take care of checking everyday that everything is all right.
We don't know if the vet will have the will to operate him again but the two-feet find this is maybe too heavy a surgery to start a new one again so soon.

Besides all this, we became better friends since his comeback, and each one of us has found place......... that is to say i'm still the boss ;-) .

Summer is slowly vanishing and we try to get the most our last visits on the terrace but the rain often visit our town.

Nevertheless we continue our way of life, which is still composed of sleeping, playing, eating and taking care of our athletic body and sublime fur !

No more collar [by Malou]

At last!
I had my collar removed.....hurray, hurray!

Last Wednesday the vet told my dad I could have my collar removed on friday but it was too long for me to wait so my friend Talisman helped me to remove it. He nibbled the collar but we didn't succeed.
Fortunately my collar was so dirty yesterday morning that it needed to be washed and they hadn't the heart to put it on me again !
It is really nice because now I 'm able to scratch an ear that has been itching for ten days!!!!

and make numerous kisses to Talisman :

Talisman seemed really happy to have me back home except for the first two days of the reunion.We're even more big friends than before.
We're always wandering together through the appartement now and can't seem to stay apart too long.

We are back from the vet !
Malou stayed in the clinic for 10 days and he has been anesthetized 4 times but he is fine now.
The vet placed a vesical catheter on Malou so that he could urinate normally.
We had to go to the clinic twice a day to feed him because he has to wear a big Elizabethan collar to prevent him from nibbling the scar.

Our vet is writing a book on rabbits and he has asked us some pictures of Malou and Talisman to illustrate his book.

Talisman came back home last sunday, he was a little depressed. This is the first time we leave him so long.

While I'm going to spend some wonderful holidays with my friends Selune and Torino, Malou is going to Paris again for surgery.
We hope it's the last time, this time !
He is going to stay at the clinic for at least 3-4 days maybe more...
Our luggage is ready and we are discussing about who is going to have the biggest carrier!!

Malou will travel by train because the weather is much too hot and the travel is only 2 hours long by train against 4 h by car.
He has a ticket that reads "petit animal : 1 chien " that means : " small pet : 1 dog". The railway compagny isn't used to transport rabbits !!

My bunny sitter's name is Gwen ( just like Mum) so it's easy to remenber ! She is a painter and she will keep me in her studio while painting !
I will have a private access to the balcony , it's a five-stars rabbit hotel !

yes, I've been sheared!! just like a sheep!
It's hard to admit but yes the facts (and mostly the photographs) speak for themselves.....and now what about the "most-beautiful" rabbit in the world, what has he become, how will this promising acting and modelling carreer end? .....but we have to keep going on and summer is certainly not the time to be depressed! With 50% of my fur off me I have to say I feel much better with this suffocating heat!

Who said the planet is warming up more and more every passing year? I hope it's not true !

What a heat all of a sudden!
The temperature has been going up and up so quickly here that our town was even the hottest in France on the last week.
It's quite hard to suffer this hot weather because of our wonderful (!) thick fur we have.We have a "cooling system", that is a bottle of freezed water :

It's nice but only Talis seems to really enjoy it, lying down near the bottle and sleeping his worries away. For my part I prefer to avoid this, the cold bottle, but I don't really know why.I much prefer staying right under the sofa for hours 'til my stomach begins to howl! The food is excellent on the summer, lots and lots of fresh vegetables every day...a bunnies dream.
We can enjoy the balcony quite a lot and this is really a great fun to show the two-feet how quick we can run by rocketing from the left of the balcony to the right and zipping through a tunnel they have constructed for us !! I also love to sleep into the tunnel :

We came back from Paris last saturday and it took me some time to get to you mainly because I was kind of worried about how things would turn out.
In fact things tend to stagnate.
The vet had to aneasthetize me twice with a special gas. So he sewed two parts of my flesh one against another and asked my parents to regurlarly check it because this is a try and infection is never far after an operation.
He doesn't want to make a heavy surgical operation right now and prefers to see little by little if an alternative solution is possible.
A few days after the operation I've already managed to bite the suture wires off !!The vet said it wasn't important , phew!
I 've to go back to Paris this summer for the final operation, I'm not in any hurry !!!

A new trip to Paris![Malou]

We're just coming back from the Paris vet.

I'm happy he's been very interested about my case but I can't tell you all that happened because I have been aneasthetized and so don't remember everything
but hearing my parents talking about it, I've understood the vet managed to check if a big surgical intervention would be necessary and to this end, temporarily joined the flesh around the genitals to see if I could urinate in a proper way.
Well the experienced failed and tomorrow, we're making our way to Paris again, this time to find a definitive solution about it.
I'm quite afraid to be honest and the my parents too but there are really confident about the vet's ability to achieve brillantly this risky but necessary task.
On the other side I'm happy because i'm getting tired of being disinfected by the two-feet once or twice a day.
Life after this will be a new start and begetting better everyday!

I'm going to see the Eiffel tower again!

I will soon have to go to a famous vet in Paris due to my strange genital malformation:

It's getting really annoying because it tends to cause skin infections:

I have to endure daily care and I'm getting bored of having to go through this "ritual" everyday!
So at the end of the next week....off we go...straight to Paris! a travel of about four or five hours by car, not to count the heavy traffic you encounter in the paris suburb.
The vet is near the very famous "cimetière du Père Lachaise" where you can find many many famous man and women's grave.(writers, musicians... like Jim Morrison for example)
Beside this little worry everything is going right and well!

The food is getting much better at home with the summer coming (our friends are now able to bring back numerous variety of vegetables and Talis and I do love that!)

And beside, as the weather is getting slowly better, we are now allowed several daily walks on the terrace where we run , jump and hide!

Talis and I are getting closer and closer and we've almost stop fighting. Soon we'll be like a old old couple of friends.

Last week-end, our human friends went to some friends' house to feed their rabbits while they were away for a few days.
I know those rabbits, because I went on holyday to their house. They are two nice bunnies:

They get on really well together and I spent nice holiday there, because their two-feet looked after me really carefully.

While they were talking about it, I heard them say there was a present for me there, so when they came back in the evening I tried to get some news about the present....Damn it, they forgot to take it.
On sunday, they went to their friends again and.... they forgot to bring back the present those friends have bought for me!
What a pity....and furthermore I know what it is ( I heard the two-feet talking about it)....guess.....strawberries, a big whole punnet of nice big red strawberries!
Yesterday they went again to their friends and they forgot it once again!!!!!

It's been a long time, since we haven't written something new on the blog!
You know, a bunny life is so dense, so full of surprises and things to cope with, we haven't had so much free time lately but we're going to make our best to post much oftener§

We're still playing a lot with our bunny condo and both of us have decided that the second storey's the best one to hide and to cause some serious troubles to the two-feet for them to have us out of there.
Malou is often there at night when time to take care of him is getting near (remenber that due to a bite he suffered when still very young he got infected and has his genitals to be disinfected everyday so as not to develop any more infection) .

We had a fight with Malou a 2 weeks ago!
The two-feet didn't notice it but a few days later it took them to have a look at my ears and they saw this :

They were completely upset about it and instantly called the vet to make an appointement.
It looked really bad, didn't it?
A few hours later , right in the vet office, i heard it was being said that this was nothing really serious but this was noneless something to be taken care of.
We got out of the there with nothing less than 1 bottle of disinfectant and a few antibiotic tabs! ( i thought there was nothing serious?...)
The two-feet did their job very well and three times a day they applied themselves at providing me all the necessary care with sometimes too much application to my taste.
Day after day, the wound's appearance seemed to evolve in a good way and indeed it did. Have a look at how it looks now:

I think this hap have served us right because, surprisingly, we use to fight much less than before!

Every morning I've to go to the bathroom to get washed. Mum puts a soft terry towel on the washing machine and the bathroom becomes a comfortable grooming room!

Something funny arrived in our mailbox last week, my friend Malou received a photograph of his parents:

I admit I'm a bit jealous because I've never seen my parents since I've left their house.

Monday again, and a new week is starting off.....with a fight!

Yes, Talisman and I started a fight twice this morning and needless to say the two-feet were not so happy about that.
They're getting worried about the two of us getting along fine together but let's put everybody at rest, those fight are now nothing more than little games and teasing.
At the beginning I tried to dominate Talisman but the sole problem is.....the weight and strenght of talisman.
He is undoubtedly the leader within our small team as within every rabbits team there has to be a leader, a dominant.
I don't mind about it in fact as he is a nice friend to get along with but as i like to be a little nasty sometimes, i have to start a fight, even just for fun!
The other news of this week-end is that we had a lot a dried banana slices to eat, this is absolutely delicious.
And, clever as i am, i noticed that the two-feet tend to give us some after a fight to calm us down.....isn't that a good reason to take some good time starting a fight!?
Now I'm punished and Talisman is alone in our new home having some good time :

Back to the vet....again[Malou]

Yesterday I went to the vet.
The two-feet brought me there because my malformation caused me some problems.
Besides this they wanted to have a vet checking if my neutering was healing well and to have the threads removed.
Well, needless to say it was terrible!
He started off by putting me on my back and inspected this delicate part of my anatomy with no embarrassment at all, just as if we've known each others for years!
After this first look, guess what? He deducted a few millimeters of pee out of me to check if there was no infection or something strange in it.
Nothing at all, everything seems to be fine, except a little inflammation..that's what he said.
So we got off his office with nothing less than three medecines (I thought everything was all right??!!).
Once again, I can see that human sometimes acts strange and one more time the two-feet will have to play vet for about ten days and maybe much more as the vet said they'll certainly have to wash me every day for what seems to be years to prevent any infection.
